Measurements

Here are some of the basic measuring cups and spoons along with their measurements which I regularly mention in my recipes.
Measuring cups:

1 cup = 250 ml
1/2 cup = 125 ml
1/3 cup = 75 ml
1/4 cup = 60 ml
1/8 cup = 30 ml

It is really difficult to provide cup measurements in grams because each ingredient has its own weight. For example, one cup of all purpose flour = 125 gm (approx). Where as 1 cup of sugar = 200 gm (approx).

Measuring spoons:

1 tbsp = 15 ml
1/2 tbsp = 7.5 ml
1 tsp = 5 ml
1/2 tsp = 2.5 ml
1/4 tsp = 1.25 ml

As I already mentioned, the same problem arises in providing spoon measurements in grams. For example, 1 tbsp of all purpose flour = 8 gm (approx). Whereas 1 tbsp of sugar = 12 gm (approx).
