Ingredients:
Raw Rice - 1 cup
Green chillies - 6-8
Lemons - 3
Grated ginger - 1 tbsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tbsp
Salt - as per taste
For seasoning:
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tbsp
Bengal gram - 1 tbsp
Urad dal - 1 tbsp
Red chillies - 4-5
Ground nuts - 3-4 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 leaflet
Oil - 2 tbsp
Procedure:
- Wash and cook rice with double the quantity of water and set aside.
- Take a small pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add bengal gram, urad dal, chopped green chillies, ginger, ground nuts, red chillies, curry leaves and fry them for 2-3 minutes. Add turmeric and stir well.
- Add this seasoning to rice, adjust salt, squeeze lemon juice all over and mix well.
