Aratikaya Palu Posina Koora (Raw Plantains cooked in milk)

Ingredients:
Raw Plantains - 2
Onions (large) - 2
Green chillies - 4
Milk - 1/4 cup
Turmeric - pinch
Salt - as per taste
Curry leaves - 1 leaflet
Oil - 2 tbsp

Procedure:
  1. Wash, peel and chop plantains into half-inch cubes, finely chop onions and set aside.
  2. In a pan, heat oil, add chopped green chillies, curry leaves and stir well.
  3. Add finely chopped onions and saute them until they are transparent.
  4. Now add plantain pieces, little water and cook them with occasional stirring by closing the lid.
  5. When plantain pieces turn soft, add milk little by little until the milk is completely incorporated in to curry.
  6. Finally add salt and mix well. Serve hot with rice.
