Bread Halwa


Ingredients:
Bread - 10 slices
Milk - 1/2 litre
Sugar - 1/2 cup (or adjust according to taste)
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Cashews - 10
Dry grapes - 7-8
Raisins - 10
Cardamom - 2-3

Procedure:
  1. Take a pan, add ghee and heat it. Add chopped cashews, dry grapes,  raisins one by one and roast them until they change color.
  2. In the same pan, roast the bread slices until they turn to golden brown and break them in to pieces.
  3. In other vessel, add milk and heat it.
  4. When milk is boiling, add bread pieces and cook them until they are completely incorporated in to milk.
  5. Add sugar and stir well.
  6. Finally add crushed cardamom, roasted cashews, almonds, raisins and mix well. Serve hot or cold.

TIP: Bread halwa can be prepared even without adding milk, it looks colorful and the flavor of this dessert will be different and yummy too.
